Increasing numbers of people are interested in learning meditation practices. Baby-boomers to generation X’ers, athletes to heart attack survivors, CEO’s to retirees are looking for ways to handle stress and the many pressures of modern living. A 2005 Newsweek survey reported that around 30% of the US adult population meditate daily. But what if you don’t have the time or patience? In this service we will explore some of the alternative methods to the traditional practices which might be more accessible to busy people.
“What Can Lent Do for You?”

Lent is “a time of reflection and preparation in the Christian tradition.” These 40 days (and nights) preceding Easter are a time to consider what it means to be a follower of Jesus and what that means. As a Unitarian it also awakens (perhaps in anticipation of spring) the impulse to reflect and prepare. How do I do that, and for what? We will have special guests: Phil Dutton and a New Orleans style jazz quartet helped us celebrate the season.
